what are good wireless tv headphones?
Byso i am looking to buy a pair of headphones that are wireless and will plug into my tv…. I would mostly use them for playing xbox and obviously watching tv..
bluetooth or fm transmitting headphone are best in my opition. Bluetooth ones work on, well, you know, blue tooth technology and most of them give you about 33ft range. the perk? you could use them on your phone or anything else. a lot of them come with a 3.5mm headphone jack transmitter that you just plug into the headphone jack of anything whether its a tv or cd player.
fm transmitting wireless headsets work on fm frequency like your radio. so the base unit which plugs in via an 3.5mm auxiliary cable or red/white rca connection will scan for a open channel and transmit that way. usually about 100ft range, lots of ppl like to sit outside and listen to music from their music system.
both can run about 75-120 avg for a pair in most big box retailers, most common ones are jvc and the iluv/ihome (fm on jvc, i*** for bt) from what ive seen. the fm ones will be pretty huge compared to the Bluetooth. side not though, i have seen some sylvania ones, fm transmitting with built in fm radio go for about 20 bucks. their cheap, but haven’t heard complaints.
the third out there which i dont like are infared. you have to have line of site, so don’t plan on leaving the room with them.
