is there a way to get wireless sound from my tv to my headphones?
Byi want wireless sound to my existing headphones. Like a FM transmitter.
You could do it exactly the way you suggest. Use an FM transmitter (like one for an MP3 player) and a small battery powered FM radio with a headphone jack.
If you don’t like that idea, you could go bluetooth. There are several bluetooth audio receivers that will work with any headphones and several bluetooth audio transmitters that will plug into anything with a headphone jack.

Yes, but you have to do a little rigging with a transmitter and receiver. Or you can buy a set of wireless headphones for a lot less hassle… But if it’s a project you want, then you sure do have a good one on your hands. It would work something like that of a radio, with one end broadcasting sound from the tv to your headphones that are receiving, one catch though. If you make it yourself, its going to be big and probably uncomfortable, but my suggestion other than to buy a pair, is hit up radio shack or a local hobby shop, or an online electronics store. Get your soldering pen ready!
