What should I buy my fiance for Christmas?
ByI’m having trouble coming up with a present for my fiance. He wants a pair of really expensive headphones but we’ve decided they’re too pricey (Bose noise reduction - crazy!). Anyway, he’s a photographer (so he always needs strange bits and pieces that he can never find) and he’s quite handy so I was thinking maybe a really high end Swiss Army Knife? Is that a good present? If you have any other ideas, I’d love to hear them. He’s 32, sporty, loves art and culture, English, lives near the beach…
A Leatherman tool (that’s the name of it) is better than a Swiss Army knife. I bought one for a friend a couple of years ago and it cost about $70 — might be more now. It comes with a case that you can put on a belt. It has pliers, screwdrivers, and all sorts of crazy appendages! Gadget people will love it!
Remember you are getting married, so a small thoughtful gift is better. Save that extra money you’d normally spend on him towards your wedding or honeymoon.

I think one of those Leatherman/Swiss Army knife things would be fine. Not very personal, but useful and convenient. How about a good coffee-table book on photography? Or a gift certificate to a camera store he likes? Good luck!

Membership to a museum? Take him there for the first visit. Make it a special date. Stay away from things he needs, he’ll get those on his own.

Donate the money to his favorite charity and visit Victoria’s Secret for some "gift wrap" to wrap yourself up as a gift.
