How come i have headphones plugged in the computer but i can still hear musci through the speakers?
Byi want to hear some music on the computer but only through the headphones but the speakers still make sound.
the head phone jack is supposed to shut off the spaeakers when you plug in the head phones. the contact in the phone jack might be bent out of shape. this happens when crazy kids wiggle the phone plug side-to-side and ruin it. a technician can bend it back in place but i imagine they would just replace it to save time. until you get it fixed just turn down the speakers.

Well, this might sound funny but…
You put it in the wrong hole.
Check to see you inserted the headphones into the right place. You mightve put it in where the mic supposed to go.

Maybe you mixed up the holes on the back of the computer. Also, try and turn off the speakers.

A few things come to mind:
1) Headphones are plugged into a "line out" instead of a "Speaker or headphone" jack.
2) Headphones aren’t plugged in all the way
3) Headphone plug is not the right size, slightly smaller than opening.
4) There is a small switch inside the headphone jack that detects if headphones are plugged in, and turns off the external speakers. That small switch could be broken.
