ACCESSORIES>ENTERTAINMENT>VOICE RECORDER
You may need to configure your system to recognize the mic and headphones if you haven’t used them before.

Cellphone noise on computer speakers

A long while ago I was hearing strange tones through me speakers at night. I was worried because the computers they were attached to were turned off at the time. the next day I was wearing my headphones and the noise happened again so loud I had to throw my headphones off. Finally I tracked the cause down to my sisters cell phone, in the next room, which was actively checking for messages. I’ve tried this with two cellphones, a Cingular phone and a Motorola phone, both make noise near a speaker. likewise I’ve tried passing a active cell phone near 3 different pairs of speakers all produce this noise. so, how much power foes it produce right next to your head? lol

This demo recording was made completely using the app “FourTrack” on the iPhone. I thought it might be a useful tool when writing and coming up with parts for a song when I didn’t have access to my home computer.
Step 1: recorded rhythm guitar parts in first 4 tracks.
Step 2: bounced these 4 tracks into 2.
Step 3: recorded 2 extra lead guitar tracks.
Step 4: bounced these 4 tracks to another 2 tracks.
Step 5: recorded 2 vocal parts. That’s it!
Completely recorded only using the in-built microphone in the iPhone and a pair of headphones. Mixed on the iPhone then recorded to the computer via headphone out jack. No extra modifications were made to the track once it was on the computer. Hope you enjoy!

Is it possible to convert computer headphones with mic. to use as Telephone Headphones.?

The Telephone has one 2.5mm plug. Can I use a Y adapter on the computer headphones to make them work on my phone? If it will work, does anyone know where to find the Y adapter? It would be 2 female 3.5 to one male 2.5.
definitelty yes. but the impedance would not be matched, you should match the impedance for maximum power transfer(for clear audio ), and it needs to be connected to the speaker and the mic of the telephone unit itself.

This is to show how well this little beast packs a punch which surprised me the first time I plugged in. Yes I know i messed up in spots or maybe didn’t play it excactly right but I dont care this is just to show what the Vox amplug Metal headphone amp can do. The webcam also reversed the picture I am not lefty just to throw it out there.
