Is there a difference between Stereo headphone and Computer headphones?
Posted by: | CommentsI’m trying to find headphones that will work with my computer, but all i’m finding are stereo headphones.
Computers output stereo if the recording you are playing back is stereo. So ordinary stereo headphones are fine!
I’d like to have *one* headset/headphones. I don’t mind if they’re over the head, around the head, with a boom, whatever, as long as they sound good and work for everything, even if they require an adapter.
Everything means:
Cellphone 2.5mm
iPod (standard headphone jack)
Computer (standard headphone jack + standard mic jack) OR USB
OR all bluetooth.
Thanks!
I recommend this headphone

How do I configure my computer to get sound to come through my headphones?
Posted by: | CommentsHello. I have a HP Compaq desktop computer and my brother just installed Vista onto it last night. Before that, we had Windows XP. Anyway, after the installation, I noticed that I can only get sound through the computer, but when I instert my headphones into the headphone port on the drive, sound still only comes through the computer and not my headphones. How do I configure the computer to correct this?
Does your computer emit sounds through the speaker? Did you install the latest drivers or even compatible drivers for Vista? The drivers for XP aren’t compatible with Vista.. try right-clicking the speaker-like icon on your system tray, click "Open volume mixer". Look for the volume levels if they’re left maxed out or not.
How do I record sound playing from my computer with headphones in the slot?
Posted by: | CommentsI need to record some audio off a video i have on my computer, and i tried without headphones in and i got all the background noise from around my house, so i want to do it with headphones in, only problem is when i record it, it turns out really low sound, even if i have the volume up the highest when im recording, i need it really good quality! can anyone help me :)?
im using the program ‘audacity’ to record from the comp.
Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder uses virtual sound card to record any sound played through your sound card, record music from any online music sites and radio stations like MySpace, Napster, Rhapsody, XM radio, AOL radio, etc. After recording, you can split audio files; edit ID3 tags like title, artist, and genre. Or, you can add recorded file to iTunes, Windows Media Player, or Winamp.
How do I transfer the computer sound to the headphones?
Posted by: | CommentsI thought you could just plug your headphones into the computer tower and the sound is transferred from the computer to your headphones. But it’s not working for me. How can I do this? Help?
Connecting the Headphones
1
Plug magnetically shielded headphones into the most convenient of four places: the headphone jack on externally powered speakers; the headphone jack on the CD-ROM drive’s drawer; the headphone, audio out, or speaker jack on the back of your computer; or the headphone or audio out jack on your computer monitor.
Controlling CD Volume and Track Order
1
See "How to Play Music CDs on the Computer" to learn how to customize play.
2
Adjust the volume with the controls on your CD drawer (if it has one) or your headphones (if they have one), in the Windows CD Player program, or in the Windows system.
3
To learn how to set Windows system volume, see "How to Change the Sound Volume on Your Computer."

I want to buy a pair of wireless headphones that I can use without having to plug anything into my computer. I went to buy a pair of bluetooth headphones and I saw that they came with a little receiver thing that plugs into a headphone jack. I don’t want this thing plugged into my computer. Is it if I’m using the headphones on a computer that has bluetooth?
If your computer already had a Bluetooth receiver built in you don’t need to buy a spare Bluetooth receiver for your headphones. You would just run the Bluetooth wizard to pair the headphones with the computer.
i am trying to work my headphones and the computer speakers at the same time is it possible, if it is how? can you please tell me?
Certainly! Head over to your local radioshack or walmart and ask the employee for a headphone cable splitter. It may look like a box or it can just be three wires that are joined together in the middle. Once you have that and are back home, find out where your speakers are plugged into the back of your computer. Unplug the speakers, and then plug in the splitter. Plug your headphones into one of the loose ends of the splitter, and your speakers into the other end. Sound should come from both sources after that.
when i plug my headphones in my computer it still plays out loud on both, why?
Posted by: | Commentsso just like i stated it the headline when i plug my headphones in my computer it still plays out loud in both speaker and my headphones, how can i get it to not do that?
i really need help on this.
Go to Control Panel, Sounds and adjust volume,or click on Volume icon, located in the right bottom corner of the screen.
i want to hear some music on the computer but only through the headphones but the speakers still make sound.
the head phone jack is supposed to shut off the spaeakers when you plug in the head phones. the contact in the phone jack might be bent out of shape. this happens when crazy kids wiggle the phone plug side-to-side and ruin it. a technician can bend it back in place but i imagine they would just replace it to save time. until you get it fixed just turn down the speakers.
