i prefer the close or noise reduction headphone..

Philips SHL9500 is the only decent-sounding closed phone that sounds nearly as good as the KSC75s for a similar price. The Soundmagic P10 isn’t bad either but a bit more pricy. If you can find a cheap JVC HA-S700 on ebay that would be ideal but they pop up quite rarely. They isolate a lot though and they sound quite good.

Surround sound headphones?

Posted by: admin | Comments (2)

i’m planning on getting these surround sound headphones that uses usb to connect to the pc….if i need to use this, would i still need to have a pci surround sound adapter installed?

No you won’t because the sound won’t be going through the card it will just be sent through the usb port and the headphones will most likely do everything else just like the usb sound cards you can get.

Noise-isolating headphones simply passively block outside noises from reaching your ears by their mechanical construction. Sticking your fingers in your ears is a noise-isolating technique. Ear buds with a nice tight fit work similarly.
In contrast, noise-cancelling headphones use active electronics to "listen" to the noise around you and play and inverted signal through the headphones to cancel out the unwanted noise.
Most commercial "noise cancelling" headphones use a combination of both isolating and cancelling techniques. It turns out that noise cancellation works better at low frequencies and noise isolation works better at high frequencies. Using both together gives you good isolation across the whole frequency range.

I have been searching around ( QUITE A LOT ) for a broad range of headphones in order to purchase the best possible pair ( both style and sound being very important / price range being maybe £30 - £60 )… and i have stumbled across, for example, the Panasonic RP HTX7, the Aerial7 Chopper, and the Ear Pollution Throwbax - which are all quite clearly extremely similar in design……
Which do you think has the highest quality sound - and may in fact be the better buy ? ?
I was thinking, in order of best to worst quality sound: Panasonic, Aerial7 and then EP… but maybe the Aerials are the best ?

Aerial7, i believe, is relatively new to the public eye….. they also have a pair called the ‘Tanks’ - which i think are brilliant… would you say you agree ?

Thanks a lot !

i think i could agree with you on that .. you are brilliant.

Good luck and have a great day ..

Wireless/cordless earphones?

Posted by: admin | Comments (3)

I was watching the movie "Definitely, Maybe" and in the intro scene the guy is wearing wireless/cordless(not sure the correct term) earphones. They did not go behind the head, they were just like ear buds. But they were wireless. I have been looking online for a pair of these, but all I can find are big bulky ones, or headphones, or behind-the-head ear buds. I am just wanting the ones that fit inside the ear without cords. If anyone has any information on a site where I can buy these, or a store or even a price. I’d appreciate it. I found this pair but they are like big and bulky but they aren’t releasing the price until May 2008…but that was about all I found closest to my request. Thanks a bunch!
Anyone have any ideas?
Still not finding anything! The only one’s I’ve found are the Sennheiser MX W1 Totally Wireless Earphones, but they are really bulky, these are not the ones.

Hello! I believe that the earphones he may be using in the movie, are these - Sennheiser MX W1 Totally Wireless Earphone
They’re not set to come out until May of this year as well… you can find them on Amazon. Hope that helps.

so you can connect it to the AUDIO outputs on your TV set. If your TV has a Fixed /Variable Audio output, set it to FIXED output.

I’m thinking about getting some surround sound headphones, but their pretty damn expensive, so I wanted so other people’s opinions. What did you use? Did hey work really well, could you place peoples footsteps well in games? How much? Just lookin for any recommendations, thanks.

AHHHH now we ar talking!! OK here we go.. First off Trittons are good get the Ax Pro Pc they are usb and have 4 speakers in each ear can. Now if you have an optical out on your sound card of dvd player hdtv so on so forth get the Tritton AX Pro, or Tritton 720 the 720s only have one 40mm speaker in each ear can but they are amazing I have these they can be used with ANY optical output. They work well with 5.1 movies like the dvds with the THX optimizer showing the diff channels running theses headsets sound like you have a big surround sound system and you actually hear the diff corners of the space its amazing.. Now the Logitech G35s don’t waist your time and money they are simulated surround sound and not compatible with all games in surround sound 5.1 settings. The Plantronics gamecom 777 are descent sounding but flimsy. Turtle Bach ear force x 41s are good but also need an optical out to work but can hear corners well.. Last a good set that is not surround sound are the logitech clear chat usb headset it is loud and clear. That’s just a list of under 200$ headsets well not the turtles but anyway there are alot more then just theses google search and youtube theses and see what is said about them but personally The Trittons in the links below are Awesome!!!! I Promise…

Now I want this for Christmas, but my parents only want to pay $100 for it, and my grandma would pay another $100 for it…is it worth it for me to spend $100 from my pocket to get it? I would use it to listen to music on my ipod and stuff, but is it worth it?

There is no way I would pay $300 for headphones regardless how nice they sound.
