Is there a difference between Stereo headphone and Computer headphones?
Posted by: | CommentsI’m trying to find headphones that will work with my computer, but all i’m finding are stereo headphones.
Computers output stereo if the recording you are playing back is stereo. So ordinary stereo headphones are fine!
2004 Ford Freestar with built-in dvd?

How do i switch the sound on the dvd player to only play through the cordless headphones? And is it possibly for the others to listen to the radio while the dvd is playing? The dvd player is a factory option built into the roof.
I doubt it, because of the fact that you put the dvd in the front. Wireless head phones? LUCKY
What can I do to get wireless headphones to work on my tv?
Posted by: | CommentsMy daughter wanted wireless headphones to listen to her tv without creating noise for the rest of the family. I bought her some, but there are no audio output jacks (only input) or headphone jacks on my tvs. How can I solve the problem without buying a special tv?
How is the television signal transmitted to the TV? There may be audio outputs on your cable box, DVR, DVD, etc., that you can use, and just mute the TV. If you are pulling a signal directly from a cable (with no converter) and your TV truly has no outputs, you may need a new TV, but you certainly don’t need a ’special’ TV — every TV I’ve owned in the last 15 years has had audio outputs.
What noise does the Bose Eliminate?
Posted by: | CommentsFor the first-time I purchased a Noise Canceling headphone, Bose QC 15 in this case. Having no prior experience with using these. I was just wondering for anyone who has these headphones, what sorta noise does these eliminate?
While I do notice some noise reduction, I don’t see what the hype is all about when people say it completely eliminates noise. I can still hear people talking in the background, I can still hear the TV or music playing in the background with the noise cancellation feature on. Just not as loud. I was hoping it would eliminate the sounds completely.
Am I expecting too much? Just making sure I didn’t purchase a defective product.
You are expecting too much.
They work better for constant background noise , say the engines in an airplane, or traffic.
Then simply subtract it. Non white noise, like people talking is much harder to detect and remove.
i got a radio station talking about someone having to kill their kid (it was a guy) and it sounded like he was calling in from a radio? what’s happening?
Lets hope he was referring to a goat. Its very common to pick up radio stations (usually AM) with electronics. Hopefully nothing is wired wrong.
Is there such a thing as a PC headset with noise cancelling headphones?
Posted by: | CommentsI know they have PC headsets that come w/ noise cancelling mics. I want that too. However, I don’t want it unless it comes w/ a noise cancelling set of headphones.
There are head phones (headsets) with outside noise cancelling ability, I think their made by Sony, You can buy them at Radio Shack,, there are no mics with outside noise cancelation, ,that is done with a graphics equalizer "( inline) mono". from your mic to your PC. ( mic input ) ( mono.)
these headphones as good as earmuffs?
Posted by: | Commentsim looking to buy a pair of these noise canceling headphones mainly for mowing the lawn:

and wanted to know if they would be as good as a regular set of ear muffs when im on my ride mower as far as blocking out the extremely loud sound of the tractor blades without having to blast my music ???

I have some the same as these they are the in ear type and they are great they cancel out the noise of our mowing tractor just fine. but otherwise the beasty headphones on amazon should suit your needs.
I’d like to have *one* headset/headphones. I don’t mind if they’re over the head, around the head, with a boom, whatever, as long as they sound good and work for everything, even if they require an adapter.
Everything means:
Cellphone 2.5mm
iPod (standard headphone jack)
Computer (standard headphone jack + standard mic jack) OR USB
OR all bluetooth.
Thanks!
I recommend this headphone

Good corded headphones?
Posted by: | CommentsI have a pair of TDK MP100’s. They’re a good fit, and have a small jack and long chord which makes them good for using on my computer. The problem is they’re not durable in the slightest and about to come apart again. Can you recommend a good durable pair with good sound (that aint cordless) . Thanks!
All my headphones (larger and portable) are Sennheiser’s.
They make VERY good headphones from the small, lightweight ones right up to their professional ones.

Have you had a good experience with wireless headphones for TV etc?
Posted by: | CommentsWhat brand and/or model would you recommend? Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Yeah, my experience was pretty good. We needed wireless headphones so that I could watch TV while my wife was trying to sleep, and vice-versa. I found some on sale at our local supermarket — I think they cost about 25 bucks. Sorry I don’t know the brand offhand, but I’m sure it’s not a well known company. If you would like, I can look it up when I get home.
Anyhow, the headphones did the job just fine. I probably wouldn’t use them to listen to an opera, but for watching old movies, they’re more than adequate. If I want to go out for a sandwich, I can keep the headphones on, and I continue to hear the sound in the next room. They were easy to install and set up.
My one quibble is that both the headphones and the transmitter require batteries. That seems wasteful to me. I don’t know why the transmitter can’t run on A/C, and maybe with some brands it does.
Also, when you flick a switch on the headphones, you receive FM radio transmission. I’ve rarely used them for that purpose, though.
